Social Network
A social network application with posts, comments, likes, and a follow system.
Social Network is a compact social media application built around the core loop of a timeline: users register, write posts, then like and comment on each other's posts. It is built with Laravel and a MySQL database.
Relationships between users are handled through a follow and unfollow system. Each person's timeline is assembled from the posts of the accounts they follow, so its contents differ for every user — this is where most of the work went, into many-to-many relationships and Eloquent queries that stay light as the data grows.
The basic account needs are covered from the start: registration, login, profile editing, and password changes. The source is open on GitHub and can serve as a starting point for a small-scale social application.
