Car Rental

A Java-based desktop system for managing car rental data.

Car Rental is a Java desktop application for managing car rental data from a single working window. Its interface is built with Java Swing and runs directly on the operator's computer, so it needs no browser, no web server, and no internet connection.

The application opens on a login screen with operator account registration before the data menus become available. Inside, master data such as car brands and units is managed through forms placed beside their tables: additions, edits, and deletions appear in the adjacent list immediately, without switching windows.

Every list carries a quick search so a particular record stays easy to find once the data piles up. The project was built as an exercise in assembling a complete database-backed desktop application — user authentication, table relationships, and full CRUD — and its source is open on GitHub.

Key Features

  • Operator authentication: login screen plus new account registration.
  • Car brand master data: add, edit, and delete from one screen.
  • Management of the rental car units on offer.
  • Recording of rental transaction data.
  • Quick search on every data list.
  • Runs as a Java Swing desktop application, no browser required.
