TreePort API

A RESTful API serving the forestry data of the Treeport platform: tree records, species, planting locations, and users.

HTTP methods are used for what they mean — GET, POST, PUT, DELETE — and every endpoint is documented with its parameters and response structure.

Its data is layered: species and locations act as references for every tree record, so a tree is always tied to its kind and to the area where it was planted. That structure is what makes tree growth reports and forest health analysis computable without trawling through raw records one by one.

Access is guarded through user registration and authentication, while the notification service pushes important alerts to the people concerned whenever a condition needs following up. Because its responses are uniform and documented, the API can serve web clients and field devices alike without special handling on either side.
