RESTful API E-Skripsi

This is a RESTful API and its documentation for the E-Thesis system — final-project monitoring and evaluation — at PGRI Ronggolawe University Tuban. It follows a REST architecture with JSON responses supported by virtually every programming language, which makes it straightforward to integrate into any application.

Every response uses the same envelope: status, message, and data. That consistency lets a client write a single response handler for all endpoints, whether the request succeeded or failed. HTTP status codes are used for what they mean and are listed in full in the documentation, so a failure can be told apart without guessing from the message text.

Endpoints are grouped by role and by the academic flow — authentication, profile, faculty and study programme data, through to the thesis stages — and each group is documented with its parameters and sample responses. Access is guarded by an API key obtained through registration, and the path is versioned from the start at /api/v1 so later changes do not break clients already in production.

This is the API the E-Thesis web client and mobile client both consume, proving the academic logic only needs to be written and maintained once.
